At Penola Coonawarra Caravan Park, we’re delighted to offer our guests the unique experience of enjoying a cozy campfire under the stars. To ensure safety and compliance with local regulations, we’ve established clear guidelines for hiring fire pits during your stay.
Important Notes
- No BYO Fire Pits Allowed
Only fire pits provided by us can be used on-site. Our fire pits have been inspected, approved by the local council, and meet all necessary safety and insurance requirements. - Seasonal Availability
Fire pits are available for hire only outside of the designated Fire Danger Season, as determined by the council.
The 2025/2026 fire danger season for the Limestone Coast in South Australia runs from November 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026. During this time, strict fire restrictions are in place, and permits are required for any burning activities.
Conditions for Hiring
- Guests must read and agree to our fire pit terms and conditions before hire.
- Fire pits are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend booking in advance.
